Arrived in Villa de Leyva

After a few freezy but really interesting days in Bogota we decided to head north to a small colonial village called "Villa de Leyva". We took the bus to "Tunja" and then a collectivo to Villa de Leyva which is not a high as Bogota and so offers a better climate :) at least it's supposed to be a little warmer.

In the bus we've met two friendly columbians chatting with us for hours and showing real patience with our not sooo good developed spanish-skills. at six o'clock the national hymn was played on the radio - like E V E R Y day! columbians have to learn at least four hymns in school (national, departamento,...).

We've found a good hospederia and had a warm welcome by the family with an original "tinto" (original columbian coffee). r e a l l y amazing! the family too. once again proven the friendliness of columbians.

So, now we'll check some typical regional food. hope they offer something vegetarian too :)

Soon i'll put here a map so you can easily follow our trip...
